A character up front, a teacher behind it

Young children open up to a friendly animal in a way they rarely do to an adult on a screen. So that's who greets them — a character who knows their name, voiced and animated live by their teacher.

The teacher is always there, always human, and always the one leading the learning. The character is simply how we say hello.

QUESTIONS PARENTS ASK

Good questions, honest answers

What ages is EngJoy for?

Children aged 3 to 8, across five levels: Sprouts, Explorers, Achievers, Champions and Trailblazers. We place by ability rather than birthday — a short play-chat tells us where your child will enjoy starting, whatever their age.

Who actually teaches the class?

A trained teacher, every session. Your child sees an EngJoy character rather than a face on a screen — the teacher voices and animates that character live. Many classes also have a second adult helping in the background.

How are the classes structured?

Live classes run Monday to Friday, one hour each, with a maximum of 20 children. Saturdays are free, and Sunday is Playday. Everything covered in a session unlocks on the app the same day, so your child can replay it as often as they like.

How do you hold a young child's attention for an hour?

We never ask them to sit still for one. A session moves through short pieces — a story, a song, a game, a question — and the pace changes every few minutes. Children are also invited up on screen to stand beside the character and take part, which is what keeps them looking rather than drifting.

What is Playday?

Every Sunday the characters host a live Playday. Nothing new is taught — it's games, stories and a celebration of what the class did that week, with the whole group together. It's included in the programme, not an extra.

What if we miss a class?

Nothing is lost. The lesson still unlocks on the app, so your child can catch up in their own time before the next session.

Can my child join partway through?

Yes. The course is built in blocks of six sessions, so there is always a natural point to join. Your child starts at the level the play-chat suggests and moves up with a group as they're ready.

Which syllabus does it follow?

Foundational English, Maths and EVS, aligned with early-primary curricula. Science joins the path for older learners. Full details will be shared closer to launch.

Will it work on my phone?

The app is being built for everyday Android phones and tablets as well as iOS. Live classes are best on a tablet or laptop, where your child can see the character clearly.

What does it cost?

₹1,199 a month — one plan, everything included. That covers all five live classes a week, the Sunday Playday, the app and the parent dashboard. The first play-chat is free, so you can meet us before you decide.
